writing after a looong time!

Its been really long time since I updated my Blog. After nearly 4 months, thought I should again start updating my blog. One reason for updating again is that some really interesting things are going on... first things first.. writing this blog from Taiwan R.O.C.

Its been exactly one week since I came to taiwan. so far the experience is Ok. People really helpful... but the problem is with food and language.. missing the hot indian curry in the afternoons.. though not in the evenings.. as we are cooking at home.

20 Nov. I had to go to UTI for transfering some shares to Dad before I leave for taiwan. Went to the bank at around 11 AM. Then went to office. Tickets haven't arrived in office. Asked to collect them from Thomas Cook at MG Road. Balu came to Bangalore from Tirupati. He was with Rajive. I reached Koramangala only at 2:30.. By then, Rajive, Balu and Balu's friend are waiting there. we went to a Thai restaurant from there. Food is Ok.. but i guess the choice of the restaurant is too bad.. anyway.. i get to have thai food in taiwan. i wanted to end my last lunch before leaving for taiwan with a dose of strong masala. after the lunch, we went back to my room.. started packing up the luggage.. went out for buying the pullover.. lokanath also came for dropping me off to the airport.. lokanath and me went to in the auto.. balu and rajive came by byk.
The flight was on time(8 PM) in Bangalore.. its an Air Sahara flight to Mumbai.. reached Mumbai around 10:30.. the Hotel Transit guy haven't turned up in the Domestic terminal to pick me up.. I had to call him up.. and then went to the Hotel and took rest for some time..

21 Nov. started at 2:30AM to the international airport. at the airport, the security check to the checkin luggage took some time.. and the Cathay Pacific had a very big queue.. finaly got the boarding passes, the through checkin and then went to the Immigration.. the guy at the immigration looked like a big idiot.. he was just trying to be smart.. i have a taiwan visa.. and he wants to see the return tickets.. what the hell.. he thought i wud settle in a place like taiwan.. where i don't know the language.. i dont like the food..
The flight was on time.. in the seat next to me is Mr. Ravi Panth.. he was from Tata Motors going to Shanghai.. and his Son is in ITP in Coimbatore.. I tried watching a lot of channels but ended up watching none completely.. there was a stop in Bangkok.. and after that in HongKong.. HongKong airport was a pretty big one.. but the stopover time is only 1hr. and in that time, i had to look for the departure terminal... i was on the right way.. but to make sure.. asked a Cathay pacific lady if I am going the right way.. and she showed me the wrong way.. :( . Accessed net from the airport.. its a free internet connection.. the flight from HongKong to taiwan is a good one.. its a 2 seater in the side.. and I got the window seat.. the guy sitting next to me is Paul.. he is a Taiwanese who was most of the time in NZ. he was coming from NZ.. when we got down in Taiwan.. he helped me out at the airport. took his number.. but haven't called up till now.. Pickup was arranged from the airport. the pickup cab guy knew a bit of english.. thankfully.. But he took me to a wrong hotel.. but then.. he called up someone and then.. he took me to the right hotel.. called up Mohan from the hotel.. he told me the address of Mc Donalds.. I went to the Mc Donalds.. and this one also has the curtesy Internet connection.. I sent SMSes through mails to all relatives in India.. and sent a mail to Sudhakar too.. after having a chicken burger, i returned to the hotel.. and had a nice nap..
